Hello, and welcome to my portfolio! My name is Dara, and I'm a User & UX Researcher with strong design skills.
Stemming from studying BSc Psychology (2.1), I discovered my love for understanding how people’s beliefs and attitudes influence their behaviour — particularly concerning technology. This culminated in my studying MSc Human-Computer Interaction Design (Distinction), which has enabled me to grasp, investigate and understand people’s interactions with technology and use this research to develop accessible, enjoyable and user-friendly products and interfaces.
I’m particularly interested in accessibility, mental health, healthcare, equity, diversity and inclusion. With a drive to apply my skills in a way that positively impacts society, my excitement for UX design encourages my intent to help produce meaningful, memorable, person-centred products that strive to cater to everyone equally.
In my spare time, I love to paint digital pieces (you can view a couple of my pieces below), read, and write. I also play Netball for a local league, and I love travelling and exploring new cultures, experiences, and, importantly, food!
